Lars G:son Åkerman

Åkerman has an extensive experience in licensing and technology trade. He has negotiated licensing and joint venture agreements since the mid 60-ties in countries like Australia, Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Singapore, Taiwan, exUSSR, P.R.China, Kenya as well as in North and South America and Western Europe.

He was President of Licensing Executives Society (LES) Scandinavia 1987-88.
He was Chairman of the Organizing Committée for the LES International Conference in Stockholm, 1989.

He frequently lectures at the Swedish Patent Office, Universities and conferences in subjects like franchising, licensing, marketing and joint ventures and has written and published various books and articles on the subjects. The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish Ministry of Industry and Trade has made use of his expertise in questions concerning counterfeiting, copying and legal protection of Intellectual Property Rights. He is also wellknown to UN special agency World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, which agency engaged him for its Conference on Technology Acquisition, Abuja, Nigeria, 1996.
